TRA Approval

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the UAE requires Telecommunication Terminal Equipment (TTE) equipment and radio and wireless user equipment to comply with UAE's technical specifications before it can be approved by the TRA, registered with the TRA and supplied in the UAE. Foreign manufacturers must register with TRA before certification of any products. The approval process is based on the manufacturer's Declaration of Conformity supported by test reports but in-country testing may be required.
