TEC granted extension of 12 products covered under Phase- III and Phase-IV of MTCTE

TEC has granted extension of 12 products covered under Phase- III and Phase-IV of Mandatory Testing and Certification of Telecommunication Equipment (MTCTE), for three months ( from January 1, 2024 to April 1,.2024) under its notification no. 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/185 dated 27.12.2023. Refer to Annexure-I.

The mandatory certification date of the remaining 32 products mentioned in TEC notification no. 5-2/2021-TC/TEC/172 dated September 27, 2023 remains unchanged and they become mandatory from January 1, 2024. Refer to Annexure-II.

The acceptance of test reports from labs accredited by ILAC signatories from non-border sharing countries has been extended by three months for technical parameters only. The new deadline is March 31, 2024, applicable to 8 specific products. Refer to Annexure-III.
