News Regarding New Version of Radio Transmitter Equipment Model Approval Certificates Issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT)

In order to fully implement the directives of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and meet the requirements set by the State Council, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) made revisions to the model approval certificate format in September 2023.

Recently, the new version of model approval certificates has been issued to 69 enterprises, including Huawei Technologies and Xiaomi Communication Technology, covering a diverse range of equipment types such as wireless local area networks, Bluetooth, public mobile communication, dedicated communication and radar.

Compared to the previous version, the new model approval certificate boasts several improvements.

First, it adopts a more standardized format by transitioning to a homepage with an attached page. Crucial information like the certified unit and equipment name is now featured on the homepage, while detailed technical parameters are provided on the attached page.

Second, the content is more comprehensive, complying with the requirements of the "Radio Management Regulations of the People's Republic of China." Notably, new information about subcontracting enterprises has been added, aiding in the supervision and inspection of the production capabilities of these enterprises.

Third, it is more user-friendly, aligning with the new electronic certificate standard. This facilitates a smoother transition of model approval certificates into electronic certificates.
