Sirim Announcement Ref. No.: SQASI/CMCS/1/24/0003 INTRODUCTION OF THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) FORM

On 14 March 2024, SIRIM has introduced new Intellectual Property (IP) Forms, which replace the current trademark authorization letter in use. Please refer to the following specified categories of trademark declaration for the Type Approval application to determine the applicable form:

Category	Required Document
Applicant has been authorized by the trademark/brand name owner.	- Evidence of registration certificate issued by the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) or an equivalent foreign organization. - Intellectual Property (IP) Authorization Letter (eTAC/FOR/01-8).
Applicant did not obtain written consent and authorization to use the trademark/brand.	- Intellectual Property (IP) Undertaking Form issued by the applicant (eTAC/FOR/01-9).

The use of these forms is effective immediately.
