Indonesia: SDPPI Calls Out for Full EMC Testing Parameters on Telecommunications Devices

As of the 1st of January 2024, Indonesia’s Directorate General of Posts and Information Technology (SDPPI) has officially directed that full EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) testing parameters are required for all telecommunications devices entering Indonesia. This change is in align with International Standards and intends to guarantee the safety and reliability of telecommunications equipment operating in Indonesia. In the past, SDPPI only required testing for Radiated Emissions (30-1000 MHz and 1-6 GHz) for telecommunications devices. This new directive adds two additional testing parameters: Conducted Emission at Main Port and Conducted Emission at Telecommunication Port.
