ARCOTEL (Agencia de Regulación y Control de las Telecomunicaciones) is the regulatory authority responsible for overseeing and regulating telecommunications equipment in Ecuador. It also monitors spectrum usage to ensure compliance with country-specific resolutions. Wireless products, telecommunication terminal equipment, cellular, satellite, and other PSTN equipment require approval and certification in Ecuador before importation and commercialization.
