Policy Statement on Private 5G Mobile Networks - Decision No. (53) of 2023 by the Communications Regulatory Authority President

The Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) in Qatar has stipulated a policy for implementing Private Mobile Networks Using 5G Technology. The two public mobile operators (Ooredoo Qatar Q.P.S.C. and Vodafone Qatar P.Q.S.C.) offer 5G networks and services which CRA recommends for use by Enterprises (businesses and government organizations). However, if an Enterprise aims to establish and operate its own 5G private mobile network and needs to obtain a spectrum license from CRA, CRA will review on a case-by-case basis. The spectrum license application must contain a set of specific requirements, which are outlined in the policy document.
