Argentina Releases Frequency Hopping and Broadband testing standards
On August 16, 2023, Argentina’s telecom regulator ENACOM published Resolution 1132/2023, introducing new technical standards for Frequency Hopping and Broadband systems. Specific testing methods for Bluetooth, WiFi, DSSS and FHSS interfaces have been implemented for testing and registration of WiFi 6 devices operating in the 5925-7125 MHz frequency band.
Local laboratories are still in the process of expanding their capabilities to accommodate the new standards. In the meantime, ENACOM has granted a three month grace period where approvals may be submitted under the legacy testing protocols.
