ANATEL in Brazil launched Public Consultation No. 60

On October 30, 2023, ANATEL in Brazil launched Public Consultation No. 60 on the Operational Procedure for Telecommunications Product Approval by Declaration of Conformity with Test Report. The proposed Annex would permit the product’s Designated Certification Bodies (OCDs) to accept copies of the Certificate of Conformity (CoC) as proof of approval, in the place of test reports, for equipment designated for personal use. Such products as Amateur Radio, Citizen’s Radio, Maritime Mobile, Aeronautical Mobile, and Satellite Communication Services are included.
Comments on the consultation can be made until January 1, 2024.
