Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) updates Radio Frequency Policy

The Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has published an updated Radio Frequency Policy that will be effective immediately.

The policy includes several changes, including the addition of a new frequency band in the 5GHz range.
Key Changes to the Radio Frequency Policy:
• 5GHz Band: The 5GHz band now includes a newly allowed frequency band of 5.470 – 5.650 GHz.
• Maximum Transmitter Output Power: The maximum allowed transmitter output power for the 5.470 – 5.650 GHz band is 1W (30 dBm).
• Maximum Effective Isotropic Radiated Power (EIRP): The maximum effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) for the 5.470 – 5.650 GHz band is 4W (36 dBm).
