Steps to achieve MTCTE certification

The application for certification under MTCTE must be submitted online through the MTCTE portal by the Indian representative of a foreign OEM. The portal’s launch date was on the 5th of July 2019 for six types of telecom products. These six types are as follows: 2-Wire Telecom Equipment, Modem, G3 Fax Machine, ISDN CPE, Cordless Telephone and PABX. The remaining types of Telecom equipment will be released at a later date and Compliance International will keep you abreast of the details as we receive them.

Through the portal, applicants will be asked to select a CAB to test the interfaces of their products.

TEC will accept test reports generated by the selected CAB and will issue approval certificates based on these test reports.

At this time, test report results from any ILAC accredited lab will be accepted until March 2020, as long as the reports were not older than five years on the date of submission. Compliance International Telecom Laboratories can test telecom products from manufacturers as an ILAC Lab during this period.
