CCC Requirements Expanding to More Telecom Equipment

The China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA), the regulator that oversees China's CCC scheme, has expanded the scope of products that must carry the CCC mark. The following telecommunications equipment types now must have CCC:

• Hubs
• Routers
• Non-optical communication encryption routers
• Other routers
• Ethernet switches
• Communication encryption Ethernet switches
• Other non-optical communication Ethernet switches

Within these product categories, equipment is not subject to CCC if it has only modular communications ports. Equipment with fixed ports requires CCC.The product categories requiring approval are based on a list of China HS codes, which we can provide upon request.Questions? Contact us any time.
