CCC Postponed for Information Security Products

13 May 2009     China

The China National Certification and Accreditation Administration (CNCA), the regulator that oversees China's CCC scheme, announced that enforcement of the requirement for "information security products" to carry the CCC mark has been postponed.

Originally set to take effect on 1 May 2009, it will now not be required until 1 May 2010.

The list of 13 categories of products that will require CCC includes firewalls, intrusion detection systems and secure routers. However, at this time no further information is available about detailed procedures for the approval.
